  1. You need to read the entire document/scroll to the bottom of the document.
  2. Accept the terms for digital signature by checking the checkbox.
  3. To sign the document, click the button for signing.
  4. Log in with the selected identity provider to verify the identity you will use when signing the document digitally.
  5. Once you have signed digitally, you can download the signed document.

Once you have signed the document, you can open it in a PDF viewer with features for viewing signatures, and see that the document has been signed, inspect the certificates, etc.

Documents, whether unsigned or signed, will be stored for 14 days.

To validate the digital signature in a signed document, you can use the European Union Digital Signature Services validation tool.

Upload the signed document by clicking 'Choose File' next to the 'Signed file' label, and click 'Submit'.

If you experience that the document cannot be loaded, there may be various reasons and possible solutions:
  • Try another browser.
  • If you have installed a browser plugin, you can try uninstalling it. Then try loading the document again.
  • There may be a server error locally with you or with QTS.
  • Check the current status on the status page and try again later.

If the sender of the document has withdrawn it, you can no longer view or sign it. Contact the sender for more information.

If you have not signed the document within the 14-day deadline, it will no longer be available. Contact the sender to find out what you need to do.

Your security level is associated with your identity at the identity provider chosen by the document sender. There are three levels: Low, Substantial, and High. Most public citizen services require security level Substantial. Most citizens have this.

Few services, such as Qualified Signatures, require security level High. Extended documentation and personal attendance at Citizen Service can be a requirement for your identity to be raised to security level High.
